Thread Prompts
These thread prompts rotate monthly. Check back at the beginning of next month for a new set of thread prompts. Each month, there are specialty prompts relating to ranks or jobs of Salsola (with a few general bonuses, too).
Points
- Points are put toward the Salsola Game.
- Complete a thread prompt for ten (10) points.
- Complete all four basic prompts and receive an extra ten (10) points.
- Special prompts are worth ten (10) points each; there is no bonus.
Rules
- Completion means you have written 1,200 words for your thread. It does not matter how many posts you've made.
- If the thread drops off because of inactivity, it must be the fault of your partner(s).
- Use of NPCs is encouraged; however, RO threads are disqualified from collecting prompt points: you must actively engage another roleplayer.
- Late completion is generally not an issue, but try to finish your threads in a timely manner. If you start it at the end of the month and it takes you another month and a half to complete it, it's fine. If it's six months late, not so fine!
- Do NOT include the thread prompt or its points in your game log until completed. Obviously, once a thread has met our definition of "complete" (i.e., 1,200 words) you can add it to your log; it needn't be actually finished and in the archive to count as "complete." c:
May Thread Prompts
- Visit the location of a former pack and see if any remnants remain.
- Salsola's resident peacock, Noble, has been particularly agitated. Encounter him in your thread.
- As the Garden springs back into life, so too do weeds, pests, and other threats to the plants within. Help clear out anything that doesn't belong.
- Mulch is exceptionally helpful when it comes to improving the soil for all of Salsola's growing needs and can be made from many materials. With several projects going on, there's bound to be excess waste that can be recycled. Have your character create this material or help place it where needed.
- Bonus Prompt: Salsola's claim of Amherst has taken a long time to clear out, but there's still plenty to remove. Help get rid of trash (broken glass, old pieces of rubble, etc) or get together with a group and remove larger debris. The Mafiosi have marked which buildings are to be destroyed and which can be left untouched. Be warned, though, messing with unsound structures isn't always safe!
